IT Specialist

The IT Specialist provides technical assistance and training to McClone employees regarding computer hardware, software, network systems, telephone and mobile applications.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user support to all internal locations
  • Maintain ticket system integrity and resolution; logging all requests and actions
  • Support both hardware and software systems:
    • Windows OS
    • Bitlocker
    • Office Suite
    • Core Insurance system(TAM) – Level 1
    • AV\Malware software
    • Third Party software support
    • Quickbase System – Level 1
    • Printers\Fax
    • Disk Encryption
    • New Hire\Term provisioning
    • Social Engineering testing\training
    • Patch Management
    • Mobile device management
    • Email Encryption
    • Break\Fix support of all other
  • Maintain records of issues, actions taken, and installation activities
  • Maintain accurate inventory and accounting of all assets
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software
  • Collaborate with other department to identify, evaluate and implement new applications to drive business performance improvements
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
  • All other duties as assigned


  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other technical discipline
  • 3+ years of technical support experience
  • Willing to lead small projects with little supervision
  • Desire to learn
  • Hard working individual that is motivated to succeed
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required
  • Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent problem resolution skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willing to travel up to 50% to McClone’s other branch locations

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the time
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files cabinets, office equipment, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment (copy machine, label machine, etc.)
  • Work takes place in a well-lighted, heated, and/or air conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation
